Hi! Please introduce yourself.
Hello. I am the-quebs. It is very nice to meet you.
What are your interests?
My interests are art (drawing) and music. I play the piano.
How did you find Deviantart and how did you decide on your username?
I was just randomly searching for some drawings on the internet one day and I stumbled upon DeviantArt. I saw some amazing works on this site by talented artists. I thought it would be cool to be able to interact with people and maybe get some of my own work exposed. My username is based off a nickname I gave to my dog, Quimby. I usually have difficulty coming up with original usernames, so I just took the first thing that came to my mind and used it. I guess at that time I was thinking about my dog.
How would you describe your art style?
I would describe my art style as somewhat realistic. I aspire to be able to draw hyperrealistically, but I am not quite there yet with my drawing skills. However, I will try to push through all the obstacles in my way to meet my goal.
Could you tell us a bit about how you got involved into art and if you have any goals as an artist?
Ever since I was little, I had an affinity for art. Art just intrigued me and I wanted to be able to experience that rewarding feeling when I finish a work that I would be able to showcase to the world later. My goal is (as I mentioned before) to be able to draw hyperrealistically. I find hyperrealistic works fascinating because the artist takes every fine detail he/she sees when working with a model or photograph and replicates all of it onto a piece of paper. Sometimes you can't even tell the drawing from the actual photo!
We love fun facts - Do you have any for us?
I am very fond of dogs (especially big dogs). I have a black Labrador Retriever named Quimby and I love her with all my heart. I wouldn't be able to live with chicken, rice, potatoes or chocolate. Those foods basically speak my soul.
I enjoy listening to electronic music and remixes. Major Lazer's music is always great and I just discovered Odesza. I really don't know what I had been doing with my life before to not know who they were. Calvin Harris and David Guetta are also excellent DJs.

What is your least favorite thing to draw and why?
My least favorite things to draw are landscapes. I just find them very boring and tedious to draw.
Do you have any skills you are famous/popular for?
I don't really consider myself famous, but I guess if I was, I would be famous for my art. I am not completely sure about that.
Would you like to introduce us to one or two idols you have meet on DA?
My biggest idol on DeviantArt is
She is a talented artist and does exceptional work. I admire all of her work greatly, but I am extremely fond of her charcoal portraits.
